Museum looks small on the outside but is a bit bigger once you get in. Many informative displays on the Civil War and also some of the other local history.

They also offer lots of brochures about activities in the area. I ended up doing a walking tour of Dayton based on a brochure I found and really enjoyed it.

A little out of the way but it is very worth it. A lot of unique history text about an hour and a half to look at everything closely and read everything and go through it.

I did not know that Jacob is the great-grandfather of President Abraham Lincoln. The Jacob Lincoln House is located near our place in Broadway, Rockingham County, Virginia.

Will go back on my next genealogy trip to Virginia and I will definitely make an appointment to be able to use the records in the upstairs area.

I would also highly recommend checking out the books in the store. We found a couple of treasures.
