Jonathan A. Noyalas is the Director of Shenandoah University's McCormick Civil War Institute. Noyalas has authored 11 books and over 100 articles, essays, chapters, and reviews and has served as a consultant for television, radio, and numerous public history projects. His interest in Civil War history began at an early age during a family trip to Gettysburg.
