Robert Swank’s 1967 records, and through interviews with area residents. Shirley Cullers Miller noted the following: "There has never been a written record of the burials in the Lawson May Cemetery. During my research I have made a list of the people that I have found to be buried in this cemetery. I am including the list for a record to be preserved."
