For this Ask an Author talk, David Wood presents Chief’s Letters: A World War II Memoir. Wood transcribed letters written by or to his father Harold Wood during his WWII days, 1943-1945.  The letters and accompanying photos offer an intimate portrait of life on the home front and in the Pacific and European theaters of war.

David Wood is a Longwood College graduate, retired teacher, museum volunteer, community theatre member, lifelong blood donor, election worker, and genealogist.
